Huawei Router X3 Pro: Wi-Fi 7 Power Meets Premium Design

Huawei Router X3 Pro Unveiled: Is This the End of Ugly Wi-Fi Hardware?
After weeks of teasing, Huawei Consumer Business Unit Chairman Richard Yu finally confirmed the identity of a mysterious cylindrical product: the Huawei Router X3 Pro. Set for an official launch this November, the X3 Pro is ready to completely redefine what a Wi-Fi router should look like, fusing high-end connectivity with stunning home decor.

The Router That Belongs in an Art Gallery

Traditional routers are usually large, cumbersome machines that users often hide away from view. The Router X3 Pro, on the other hand, is designed as a centerpiece. It has a unique cylindrical build with a wider bottom and a narrow, transparent top part. At the top lies a softly glowing mountain-like structure, so uniquely designed that many initially mistook the device for a speaker or a piece of modern art.

It’s described as a “glorious light-and-shadow container” with an embossed “Golden Mountain” image and a stainless steel black plate enclosing the top. Huawei’s intent is clear: eliminate the boring look of traditional tech and create a device that consumers can finally place anywhere they want. This gives it a unique aesthetic, either looking like a sunset-lit mountain or even a snow-capped peak.

The X3 Pro is reportedly coming in two impressive colors: Golden Mountain and Ice Mountain. In addition, some promotional images show the main unit with a smaller companion device, which has now been confirmed to indeed be a range extender. This strongly suggests that the Router X3 Pro will support wireless mesh networking-essentially making it easy for users to extend seamless Wi-Fi coverage with no need for additional cabling.

Next Generation Power: Wi-Fi 7 and Smart Home Hub

While the stunning design is the immediate standout feature, a number of high-end technologies are also expected to be fitted in the X3 Pro. Although Huawei has not revealed the full official technical specifications yet, many expect the router to support the next-generation Wi-Fi 7 protocol. In addition to this, and in line with Huawei’s general ecosystem strategy, the X3 Pro is also likely to pack an included NearLink gateway. This would enable the device to serve as a powerful central hub for Huawei’s smart home devices, with an ability to easily control or seamlessly collaborate with multiple devices throughout the entire house. This mystery has been solved by confirmation from the chairman, Richard Yu, and the November launch promises more than a Wi-Fi router but a unique piece of technology designed for the modern home.
